Ta Da ! Free Pattern Release

Today I have released a free pattern ๐Ÿ™Œ. It is taking me a while to get to grips with all things IT but it is finally coming together.

The pattern is easy to make and uses 100% DK cotton. Cotton provides good stitch definition and  smooth, well-defined texture os ideal for this project.

Shades of blue were chosen as they stimulate thoughts of water (streams, sea, river). Blue can be described as a  reflective and contemplative colour, conjuring images of sitting quietly by running water, relaxing and pondering on a summer’s day.  Just what is needed during these current uncertain times.

The pattern  provides a subtle area of interest without making the fabric too bulky which would not be suitable for vase or plant pot mat.

Additional samples could also be made and joined  together to make a table runner.

Hope you enjoy the pattern which is available on my website dannycatcrochet.com  and I would be grateful for any feedback.

Cheers

Work In Progress

Afternoon lovely crocheters. How are you all today?
Grey clouds are forming and I am so grateful for a warm, safe haven to enjoy my crochet.
Over the past few days I have decided to try and reduce my ever growing yarn stash. I know you can never have too much yarn but the I am running out of storage.
Anyway, while flicking through the latest Inside Crochet magazine (Issue 51). I came across a pattern for a stashbusting jumper. It’s called Granny Pops Jumper and is described as perfect for scraps and stashbusting.

However, I have been a bit maverick and have gone slightly off piste. I have opted for a smaller roll neck and have not used one colour for the yoke. Also, I have started the pattern which is top down but instead of continuing until the require length, I have completed the neck and also started the sleeves so I could ensure a better colour match with the body.
Hoping my decisions are not going to come back to bite me! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Happy Crocheting ๐Ÿงถ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ❤️
